Read and Respond 4

the first photo, photo a, uses a higher shutter speed and photo b uses lower shutter speed.

photo a has an aperture of 16 and photo b had an aperture of 2.8.

photo a uses a higher shutter speed because everything is in focus and photo b has a lower shutter speed because it's just trying to focus the one main object in the picture.

both photos have a 100-200 ISO.

I like photo b better because of how it's blurry in the background.

Understanding Aperture and Depth

1. Depth of feild is the zone of sharp focus.

2. Opening at the front of the lens.

3. f:1.8 creates the shallowest depth of field when f/22 makes everything in focus

4. Close down the aperture

5. Stop-down

6. The shutter speed goes lower

7. Av mode

8. A lense with a big maximum aperture opening

9. auto single focus lense

Read and Respond 3

1. Aperture is important because it gives you more control and creativity over your camera.

2. It either doubles or halves the amount of opening in the lense.

3. When the shutter speed is smaller it takes longer to take the photo.

4. if one is bigger and the other one is smaller then it lets in the same amount of light

5. small aperture

Read and Respond 2

MAIN IDEA
1. The camera is like you head, the lense is like your vision, and the body is like your brain

QUIZ QUESTIONS
1. You would open your eyes kind of wide and you won't see well if you do squint at night because it is too dark.

2. You will not be able to see very well if you open your eyes very wide when it's bright. It is low aperture.

3. If I am trying to take a photo of someone jumping in the air I would want to have a fast shutter speed because it's a short time that they are in the air and I could capture more photos in that small amount of time.

4. I think you would need thin because it is usually really bright.

FINAL QUIZ QUESTIONS
1. It would be best to change the shutter speed.

2.  You would need to change the aperture.

Simplicity in Photography

The point that Ron Craig is trying to bring out in these photo I think are that there is more to the photos than what you really see. He thinks it is important because a lot of the time if it doesn't look like a very interesting photo, it really means so much more. The first way is to simply get closer to the subject. The second way is to impact the image using color. Another good way it contrast management. I like this advice because it makes photography seem so much easier than it really is. So in that case I agree with it.
