view and respond: a present indeed

1. How does the story unfold?
well the boy just seems like an ordinary boy with nothing wrong... until he stands and it shows that he actually has a similarity to the poor pup.

2. Are there particular moments  that stand out to you as particularly powerful or effective?
i feel like this could really stand out to anyone. if someone has something different about them, people can be rude or you just don't fit in or feel welcome, but when you have that strange similarity with someone or something you feel as a whole again.

3.  What image elicits the most emotion from you?
whenever the boy sees the dog has one missing leg, he seems annoyed. but as the dog kept playing he learned to love it and saw the struggles the dog was having that he could relate to.

4. What theme or message (s) do you take from the movie?
if you don't fit in to something, maybe find someone who can fill that empty space and make you feel better about yourself. don't judge a book by its cover.

5. How do the filmmakers convey that message visually and/or verbally?
the filmmakers make it seem like the boy is just ordinary and as the pup struggles it makes him happy because he has similar problems and he knows what the little pup goes through. it's also probably just so cute

  1. Your response to No. 2 doesn't really answer the question. You answer to No. 5 also skirt the question. I agree that the filmmakers make it seem this way. The question is how they do that. 94
